When I was a kid, my parents took me to go shopping in the department store one day.

To an eight-year-old boy, this was definitely one of the happiest things in the world.

I was truly happy until I met a person when I was about to go home.

He was crippled and selling chewing-gum outside the department store like many people were.

However, what he impressed me most was that he dressed himself like a clown and wore a clown makeup on his face.

I could still recall that it was a summer day with high temperature and moisture.

I was wondering how could he stand the weather in such a costume.

Therefore, I stood there for a while and started to watch him.

I found that he couldn't stop sweating.

But he just wiped out the perspiration and kept selling chewing-gum with a smile on his face.

Honestly, I couldn't tell the smile was his clown makeup or his real smile.

But somehow, I believed that it was the latter.

That was the most sincere smile I've ever seen in my life.

After I got home, I could not help crying because I found that I forgot to buy chewing-gum from him.

The person reminds me that no matter how miserable or how hard you think your life is, you could still wear a smile on your face.

He gives me the strength and courage to get through hard times, and I hope I could do the same to the people around me.

I would never forget the smile on his face.
